Mobile Forensic Essentials and Training for School Resource Officers
The National Association of School Resource Officers and DATAPILOT are proud to announce a training partnership for bringing much needed mobile forensic skills and software to school resource officers.
This new training program ensures that school resource officers across the country, are properly trained in mobile forensic essentials. SROs taking the training will be proficient in:
- How to acquire evidence from cell phones and other digital devices
- What types of evidence can be acquired from devices
- How to legally obtain and store acquired evidence
- Use cases for campus security and intelligence gathering to negate possible threats
- Chain of custody for digital evidence
This two-day training is a joint effort between NASRO, the preeminent source of training and support for SROs and DATAPILOT.
Although there are no current offerings for 2025, NASRO members may utilize the 2025 Digital Forensics Grant to acquire much-needed forensic technology for their agency.
